After sending chills down audiences’ spines last Christmas in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’, Filipino stand-up comic Alex Calleja is switching gears—this time delivering non-stop laughter across Singapore, Australia, and the United States in early 2026.

Beginning in February, Calleja brings Comedy Crew PH to Singapore for ‘Kuwentong Pag-Ibig: The Hilarious Side of Love 2’, set on February 15, 2026, with shows at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at the Alliance Française Singapore. The Valentine-season special explores the funny, awkward, and painfully relatable sides of love—one of Calleja’s comedic strengths.
The tour continues to Australia with ‘Alex Calleja & The Comedy Crew Live’ on March 6, 2026 (Friday, 7:00 PM) at the Crowne Plaza Adelaide – Mawson Lakes, marking another milestone in his expanding international reach.
By mid-March, Calleja reunites with longtime collaborators Jobert Austria and the Usapang Lalake crew for the ‘Usapang Lalake USA Comedy Tour 2026’, a nostalgic yet timely revival of the cult-favorite Studio 23 talk show that first aired in 2010.
The US tour schedule includes:
- March 13 – San Francisco, California
- March 14 – Cerritos, California
- March 15 – Las Vegas, Nevada
- March 20 – San Diego, California
- March 21 – Houston, Texas
- March 22 – Dallas, Texas
- March 27 – Chicago, Illinois
- March 28 – Portland, Oregon
What began as a late-night television program has now evolved into a full-fledged comedy tour—proof of Calleja’s staying power and the enduring appeal of Filipino humor overseas.
Beyond live performances, Calleja is also set to release his second Netflix comedy special, ‘Past is Past’, following the massive success of ‘Tamang Panahon’, which debuted on February 7, 2025 and became the first Filipino stand-up special to reach No. 1 on Netflix Philippines, holding the top spot for nine days and remaining in the Top 10 for over a month.
‘Past is Past’ finds Calleja diving into everyday realities—family, relationships, work, personal failures, and hard-earned lessons—by hilariously contrasting the past with the present. With his trademark brutally honest storytelling, the special underscores one message: growth is inevitable, but laughter makes it bearable.
A veteran of the Philippine stand-up comedy circuit, Calleja continues to wear many creative hats—as a comedy actor, TV and radio host, podcaster, and writer. He has been a familiar face on television through shows like ‘Tiktalks’ and ‘Face 2 Face’, and a consistent voice on platforms such as ‘Good Times with Mo’, ‘Good Times Radio’, and his own podcast, ‘Punchline with Alex Calleja’.
