The satirical comedy film Samahan ng mga Makasalanan, produced by GMA Pictures, has climbed to the number one spot on Prime Video, signaling strong audience interest following its digital release.
Top-billed by David Licauco, the film continues to attract viewers with its blend of humor and socially relevant themes, particularly its take on redemption and personal transformation.

Directed by Benedict Mique, the film follows Deacon Sam (Licauco), a devout and idealistic young man assigned to the troubled town of Sto. Kristo—a community known as a haven for “sinners.”
Determined to inspire change, he forms the “Samahan ng mga Makasalanan,” an initiative aimed at guiding the townspeople toward a better path. However, as his mission unfolds, Sam finds himself confronting temptations that challenge his own beliefs and values.
Joining Licauco in the film are Sanya Lopez, Joel Torre, Soliman Cruz, Betong Sumaya, and Buboy Villar, among others—each contributing to the film’s balance of comedy and commentary.
Originally released in cinemas in 2025, the movie found a renewed audience when it became available for streaming on April 24, quickly gaining traction among viewers.
Its rise to the top of Prime Video’s rankings suggests that the film’s accessible storytelling and meaningful narrative continue to resonate, particularly with audiences seeking light yet thought-provoking content.
