Content creator Ian Kamangkang, popularly known as “Pitik Queen,” shared his experiences of bullying due to his gender identity during his childhood.

In a recent interview on ‘Toni Talks’, Kamangkang looked back on his early years in South Cotabato, revealing that he faced ridicule as early as grade school.
“From grade one to grade six, may nangbu-bully na sa akin dahil sa aking gender. Mostly ang sinasabi, kapag naglalakad ako sa daan papuntang school, ‘Bakla! Bakla!’” he said.
Despite the hurtful remarks, he chose not to engage with his bullies.
“Bahala kayo diyan. Wala naman akong ginagawang kasalanan sa inyo. Ito ako. Bading ako,” he added.
Kamangkang also shared that, unlike his experiences outside, he found acceptance within his family—particularly from his father.
“Kasi apat kaming beki sa bahay,” he said with a laugh. “Seven kaming magkakapatid. Dalawa ‘yong straight na lalaki. Isang babae, apat na beki.”
His story highlights the challenges faced by members of the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly during formative years, where discrimination and verbal harassment remain common experiences.
Now widely recognized online, Kamangkang rose to fame for his signature dance style dubbed “pitik with soft moves,” popularized through the viral track Hawak mo ang Beat. His journey from facing bullying to becoming a celebrated content creator reflects both resilience and growing visibility for diverse identities in digital spaces.
