Loud cheers and applause filled the cinema during the pilot screening of ‘Love is Never Gone’ after viewers witnessed the intense kissing and love scenes between Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi.

The grand mediacon and special screening were held on April 28 at Gateway Mall 2 Cinema, attended by the full cast and production team of the upcoming romance-suspense series.
From the pilot episode alone, the series made a strong impression with its blend of action, romance, and cinematic visuals shot in Morocco. Viewers described the experience as comparable to watching an international action-romance film, citing both the performances and the striking locations.
However, it was the intimate scenes between the lead stars that stood out the most, drawing audible reactions from the audience during the screening.
During the mediacon, Ivana candidly shared her thoughts when asked to rate her kissing scene with Joshua.
“10… Hindi kasi, nakita niyo ‘di ba? Siya yung talagang grabe. Naka ganun lang ako, siya ang laki ng bibig niya… Sabi ko huy grabe ka naman sumipsip! Yung lipstick ko nawawala! Magaling, magaling siya,” she said.
Joshua, on the other hand, gave a playful response when asked the same question.
“9,” he said, joking that there is still “room for improvement.”
In the series, Joshua plays Teo, a hardworking mechanic and breadwinner who moves to Morocco as an overseas worker. His life takes a turn when he encounters Yana (Ivana), a woman involved in illegal activities to fund her mother’s medical treatment.
Their meeting leads to a dangerous romance entangled in betrayal, revenge, and hidden sacrifices that will test their relationship.
Joining them in the cast are Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, and Dina Bonnevie, with special participation from Ara Mina and Irma Adlawan.

Beyond their onscreen chemistry, Ivana also praised Joshua’s personality and professionalism.
“Ang nakita ko ay he’s more than just an actor kasi alam naman natin na mahusay na actor si Joshua, but behind yung pag portray niya ng mga character, napakabait niyang tao. Very very generous siya and very matulungin and he’s fair with everyone talaga–– he treats everyone with respect which is nice,” she said.
Directed by Manny Palo and Jojo Saguin under Dreamscape Entertainment, ‘Love is Never Gone’ is the first Filipino series shot in Morocco. The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on May 8, with two new episodes released weekly.
