Singer-comedian and television host Ogie Alcasid said he has no knowledge of the rumors claiming that several hosts of ‘It’s Showtime’ may allegedly be removed from the program.
The issue was brought up during the press conference for Ogie’s upcoming show, ‘DaddyOkie: A Father’s Day Concert’, where he was asked about the circulating speculation involving possible changes in the noontime program’s hosting lineup.
“Hindi ko alam. Wala naman akong naririnig na ganu’n. Hindi ko naririnig yan,” Ogie responded, while also asking where the rumor originated.
Online rumors recently claimed that some hosts allegedly being considered for removal from the show include Ion Perez, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Jackie Gonzaga, Cianne Dominguez, Amy Perez, and Kim Chiu.
Ogie was also asked about another rumor claiming that Vice Ganda supposedly held a meeting with executives of GMA Network.
Initially, Ogie appeared to think the topic was connected to Vice Ganda’s musical game show ‘Everybody, Sing!’.
“Di ba, meron siya, yung Everybody Sing? Hindi ko alam, kasi wala akong balita,” he said.
After being informed that the show airs on ABS-CBN and not GTV, Ogie simply reacted positively to Vice Ganda’s continued success.
“Good for her. She deserves all the… di ba? Vice Ganda yun, e. She deserves it.”
Despite the ongoing rumors, Ogie emphasized that the camaraderie among the ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts remains strong and that he has not heard of any official changes within the program.
“Kami kasi ni Tyang Amy ang senior du’n. So, siya yung point of view ng nanay, and then ako naman yung point of view ng tatay. Kasi may mga roles kami sa Showtime, e.”
He also acknowledged the continuing challenges faced by ABS-CBN following years of operational struggles.
“It’s hard for all the artists and… especially for our bosses. So, kapit lang. Sama sama naman kami e.”
Meanwhile, reports from business and entertainment circles claimed that ABS-CBN is currently implementing cost-cutting measures following reports of increased financial losses in the first quarter of 2026, with some speculating that noontime programming may be among the areas affected. However, no official announcement regarding host removals from It’s Showtime has been released as of writing.
