Comedian Pooh recently shared a shocking discovery during his visit to the showroom of Maddox Jewelry, owned by the so-called “Queen of Diamond,” Charo Cordial.
During their conversation, Pooh jokingly admitted that he had long been following Ms. Charo’s live-selling sessions online and would often try to “mine” items during the broadcasts — but felt ignored because his comments were allegedly never noticed.

“Ako, hindi ko alam kung matutuwa ako na napunta ako rito dahil naiinis ako kapag nagla-live ka. Hindi mo nababasa, ‘Pooh the Comedian, mine, mine, mine!’ Hindi mo nababasa,” Pooh said jokingly.
Ms. Charo apologized and explained that because of the large number of comments and messages during live selling sessions, some viewers’ comments are inevitably missed.
The conversation later turned serious when Pooh brought several vintage rings that he considered long-time investments. According to the comedian, the jewelry pieces were allegedly worth around ₱7 million.
Wanting to verify the authenticity of the items, Pooh asked Maddox Jewelry to test the rings.
However, the results reportedly left the comedian devastated.
According to Ms. Charo, the pieces allegedly turned out to have silver settings instead of gold, while the stones believed to be diamonds were supposedly zirconia rather than real diamonds.
Pooh admitted he was deeply affected by the revelation, especially since he trusted the person who sold him the jewelry and had invested a significant amount of money into the collection over the years.
“Baka hindi ko alam kung ano ang magawa ko. 7M? Tapos ang tagal lang na natutulog do’n sa bahay kasi hindi rin naman ako pala-alahas,” he shared.
Following the incident, Ms. Charo advised buyers to be more cautious when purchasing jewelry and encouraged the public to transact only with trusted sellers that have physical stores and certificates of authenticity.
Amid the serious discussion, the interview also touched on Pooh’s personal life and career.
The comedian revealed that he is currently single and focused more on business ventures, including his food business Purple Yum.
Pooh also reflected on his more than two decades in the entertainment industry and discussed how he avoids offensive comedy — a discipline he said he learned during his time performing at The Library.
The conversation also briefly touched on his friendship with actor Piolo Pascual, whom Ms. Charo jokingly admitted she has a crush on.
“Good friends, very good friends. Pumupunta ako sa bahay nila. Lumalabas-labas kaming lahat,” Pooh said.
Now 23 years in the entertainment industry, Pooh continues to balance comedy and entrepreneurship. He worked with various television networks before officially becoming part of ABS-CBN in 2008.
Fans can watch more of their conversation through the official Facebook page of D’ Maddox Jewelry, as well as the brand’s YouTube and TikTok platforms.
