This May, Rangoon Ruby invites guests to celebrate motherhood through a heartwarming lens that goes beyond tradition and into legacy. With the campaign “Sailing Through Her Legacy,” the restaurant pays tribute to the enduring influence of mothers, whose love, strength, and stories continue to shape generations.

At the heart of Rangoon Ruby is its owner, Chef Max Lee, whose culinary journey began in his mother’s kitchen. Inspired by her home-cooked Burmese dishes, Chef Max has dedicated his craft to preserving and sharing her recipes by bringing a piece of her legacy to every table. Each dish served is not just a meal, but a story passed down, carefully recreated, and offered to the world.

This spirit of legacy was echoed during an intimate Mother’s Day kickoff event, where guests gathered to celebrate the women who continue to build meaningful futures for their families. Among them was Cristalle Belo-Pitt, co-founder of Hearts & Vines. Inspired by her children’s heritage, Cristalle built a brand that bridges cultures through Australian-grown wines thoughtfully crafted for the Filipino palate — creating not just a business, but a legacy she hopes to pass on to her children.

Together, these stories formed a powerful narrative: that of strong yet tender-hearted mothers who, in their own ways, are building something lasting not just for today, but for the generations that follow.
Throughout the month of May, Rangoon Ruby will bring this theme to life with curated experiences designed to honor mothers and their journeys. Guests can indulge in special Mother’s Day feasts and enjoy exclusive cocktails in collaboration with Hearts & Vines. In partnership with Manila Bay Yacht Cruises, diners who spend a minimum of ₱1,500 will have the opportunity to treat their mothers to a private yacht experience—a symbolic continuation of the “Sailing Through Her Legacy” journey.
More than a celebration, Rangoon Ruby’s Mother’s Day campaign is a reminder: the most lasting imprints are often built quietly in kitchens, in shared meals, and in the stories mothers choose to pass on.
