P-Pop girl group VVINK embraces a clear and deliberate artistic statement in It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album, a 14-track record released under FlipMusic. More than a collection of meticulously produced, summer pop anthems, the project arrives with a cohesive sonic and emotional narrative meant to be experienced from beginning to end.

Built around the phrase “It Starts With A Wink,” the debut full-length album draws from the idea of a secret signal between people: an unspoken understanding that instantly creates connection. In the same way, the record represents the familiar emotions, humor, awkwardness, friendships, and vulnerabilities that define young Filipino adulthood, creating a communal listening experience that sounds unmistakably Filipino in every sense.

In an era increasingly dominated by streaming and short-form virality, It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album stands out for capturing youthful memories with uplifting effervescence: honed by carefree and playful sentiments but never lacking in tenderness and sophistication. Designed as a no-skips body of work that unfolds through recurring sonic ideas, transitions, interludes, emotional callbacks, and tonal shifts, the album plays like actual memories framed with intention rather than isolated algorithmic moments.

The album opens confidently with “I-N-T-R-O,” immediately introducing VVINK’s vocal identity before transitioning into the infectious energy of “Tulala” and the explosive hyperpop-meets-budots fusion of “Baduy,” featuring world-renowned producer DJ Love. As the record slowly unfurls its character, tracks like “Tatlong Hiling” showcase the group’s softer, more emotional side while “Tulog Pa Si Ganda” injects a trippy mosaic of Jersey beats, funky house, and Miami bass. Nica Del Rosario’s GL-inspired track “Kailan Ka Aamin,” adds another layer of emotional honesty, contemporary Filipino storytelling, and inclusivity to the album. Situated at the center of the record is “Pag-ibig Fun,” a bright, witty, and inescapable pop jam that perfectly welcomes the album’s carefree spirit and distinct edge.

The latter half of It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album settles into heartfelt territory with the trifecta of “Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang,” “Oo,” and “Ikaw Ikaw,” elevating the group’s pop sensibilities with a smattering of charisma and indelible songwriting chops. The record closes with “It’s A Rap,” an explosive boom-bap-driven track that highlights VVINK’s versatility as performers, and “VVINK VVINK,” a brief but intentional teaser hinting at the group’s future sonic direction.

Helmed by select powerhouse producers and composers from FlipMusic under the direction of Head Music Producer Julius James “Bojam” de Belen (BINI’s Talaarawan, Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala” and “Ikot-Ikot,” and the Diary ng Panget original soundtrack), alongside hitmakers Nica Del Rosario (Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala,” BINI’s “Na Na Na” and “Karera”), Myk Conchada (BINI’s “I Feel Good” and “Salamin, Salamin”), and VVINK’s very own Angelika (BINI’s “Pantropiko”), the album reflects years of experience in shaping modern Filipino pop culture through songwriting, arrangement, artist development, and sonic experimentation.

Before the release of their official full-length album, VVINK had already built a reputation in P-Pop with their series of pre-debut releases focused on continuity, replay value, and emotional world-building. Composed of members Angelika, Ayaka, Jean, Mariel, and Odri, the acclaimed pop group represents a new generation of talent built on grit and genuine Filipino values.

VVINK’s It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via FlipMusic.

TRACK DESCRIPTIONS

  1. I-N-T-R-O

“I-N-T-R-O” opens VVINK’s upcoming album with a confident introduction to the group’s vocal identity. Fronted by main vocalist Jean Flores and lead vocalist Angelika, the track highlights the strength and color of VVINK’s vocal line. It begins with ethereal, pad-heavy textures and reverberated voices that create a dreamy, atmospheric mood. Midway through, the song shifts into a bold hip-hop beat, revealing a sharper and more powerful edge. The track closes with energetic gang chants spelling out “I-N-T-R-O,” marking VVINK’s arrival with authority. At just one minute long, it serves as a compact yet impactful opening statement for the album.

  1. Tulala

“Tulala” is VVINK’s debut single, marking the group’s official entry into the P-Pop scene. The track introduces their high-energy bubblegum pop sound, reflecting FlipMusic’s long-standing influence in shaping vibrant pop music for over a decade. Infused with baile funk rhythms and hip-hop–driven dance sections, the song delivers an infectious groove with constantly shifting energy. A bright and dynamic pop dance break further elevates its playful yet powerful character. Beyond the sound, Tulala highlights the distinct personal colors of each VVINK member through bold styling and individual moments in the music video. Together, the song and visuals establish VVINK’s identity as confident, colorful, and performance-driven artists.

  1. Baduy

“Baduy” is an explosive fusion of hyper pop and budots, boldly branded as Hyper Budots. The track features DJ Love, the pioneer of the budots genre, whose signature percussive loops and street-driven rhythms anchor the song’s core, and Pio Balbuena, who delivers sharp and energetic bars too alongside VVINK leader Angelika. Together, they push the sound into new territory, blending digital chaos with raw, dancefloor-ready energy. The song has been critically acclaimed as an ambitious release that elevates budots with a mainstream pop edge. Its music video amplifies this vision with unmistakably Pinoy street visuals, including jeepneys, tricycles, ice cream carts, colorful banderitas, and the iconic good morning towel. Baduy stands as one of the album’s most daring tracks, celebrating local culture while redefining genre boundaries.

  1. Interlude

“Interlude” is a brief but meaningful filler track on VVINK’s upcoming album, first featured in the group’s reveal video. It opens with heartfelt lines expressing the members’ aspirations, then shifts midway into a lively Hip-Hop beat. In the latter half, the members deliver a spirited group chant, highlighting their unity. Though short, Interlude bridges the album’s themes while giving fans a glimpse of VVINK’s grounded, relatable personalities and strong group chemistry.

  1. Tatlong Hiling

“Tatlong Hiling,” which translates to Three Wishes, was released as VVINK’s second single and is a heartfelt R&B track inspired by the magic of wishing and dreams. The song showcases the group’s vocal harmonies, blending smooth melodies with quirky Rap lines that add personality and charm. Lyrically, it captures the longing and hope of wishing to be with someone special, making it both intimate and relatable. With its warm, emotional tone, Tatlong Hiling stands out as a tender moment on the album, highlighting VVINK’s versatility and expressive artistry.

  1. Kailan Ka Aamin

“Kailan Ka Aamin” is a yearning track written by Nica del Rosario specifically for VVINK, described by the songwriter as inspired by “milklove.” Set to release in March as a pre-release before the full album, the song begins with the members’ angelic voices in a delicate intro, immediately drawing listeners into an intimate mood. It then transitions into a New Wave–inspired groove, blending contemporary Pop with nostalgic undertones. The track captures the feeling of being in a moment where you want someone to confess and reciprocate your feelings, creating a tender and anticipatory atmosphere. Kailan Ka Aamin promises to showcase VVINK’s vocal depth while evoking a sense of wistful nostalgia.

  1. Zzz Zzz

“Zzz Zzz” is a short, lighthearted skit on VVINK’s upcoming album, designed to bring a playful pause in the listening experience. Its dreamy background music creates the feeling of being in a whimsical, almost surreal dream world. With its humorous and carefree tone, the track provides a refreshing break, easing the mood after the intensity of the preceding songs. Zzz adds charm and personality to the album, highlighting VVINK’s fun and relatable side.

8.Tulog Pa Si Ganda

“Tulog Pa Si Ganda” is a high-energy hybrid track on VVINK’s upcoming album, blending Miami bass, Jersey-style beats, and funky house grooves. Inspired by the concept of Sleeping Beauty, the song playfully explores the theme of not texting back someone while pretending to be asleep, yet unable to hide your excitement. Its infectious rhythms and bold production create a fun, danceable vibe, capturing both mischief and anticipation. Tulog Pa Si Ganda highlights VVINK’s ability to mix storytelling with vibrant, genre-blending soundscapes, making it a standout track on the album.

  1. Pag-ibig Fun (Title Track of the Album)

“Pag-ibig Fun” is a playful and witty track on VVINK’s upcoming album, packed with clever metaphors comparing love to a house-loaning program. Musically, it’s an energetic fusion of speed garage, Moro pop, and Europop influences, creating a fun, danceable soundscape. The song embraces a quirky, absurdist charm while remaining beautifully crafted. Catchy lines like “Ang Pag-ibig ko ay fun fun fun fun, when I’m your only one one one one” (“My love is fun fun fun fun, when I’m your only one one one one”) highlight the group’s humor and charisma. Pag-ibig Fun stands out as a lighthearted, imaginative track that balances cleverness with infectious energy.

  1. Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang

“Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang (You’re The Only One Missing)” is a concept track on VVINK’s upcoming album that captures the feeling of incompleteness in a playful and clever way. Its lyrics use witty, imaginative examples—like coffee without milk or a pencil without a sharpener—to express that something essential is missing. Poetically written, the track balances humor with charm through its interesting and relatable comparisons. Musically, it features melodic lines and well-blended harmonies that enhance its lighthearted yet engaging mood. Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang highlights VVINK’s skill in combining clever lyricism with captivating Pop sensibilities.

  1. Oo

“Oo” is a short transition track on VVINK’s upcoming album, designed to seamlessly connect Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang with Ikaw Ikaw and make the latter part of the album more cohesive. It bridges the earlier electronic soundscape to the organic band-driven production that follows, highlighting the group’s musical versatility across genres. The track features eerie yet angelic background vocals that are repetitive and almost hypnotic, adding a captivating, otherworldly texture. Serving as a reprise, it references lines from Tulala and Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang, maintaining the same key and scale. Oo ends with spoken words from the Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang chorus, tying together familiar melodies while emphasizing VVINK’s ability to blend diverse sounds within a unified album flow.

  1. Ikaw Ikaw

“Ikaw Ikaw” is a touching love song on VVINK’s upcoming album that also doubles as a tribute to parents, with lyrics crafted to feel universal and meaningful to anyone special in your life. The title, Ikaw Ikaw, reflects the warmth and significance of a mom or a dad, celebrating gratitude and love. Vocal highlights include powerful belting from the main and lead vocalists, while the rest of the members carry melodic phrasing throughout the track in a deeply moving and sincere way. With its emotional delivery and heartfelt composition, Ikaw Ikaw is sure to leave listeners teary-eyed, resonating with its warmth and sincerity.

  1. It’s A Rap

It’s A Rap closes VVINK’s upcoming album with pure energy and undeniable swag. The trio of rappers brings back the playful flow of their early work in Kindat, while the vocal line flexes catchy, head-turning choruses. Nostalgic Boom-Bap beats, chopped and screwed to perfection with TR-808 vibes, drive the track’s hyped, chaotic energy. It channels the intensity of classic East Coast Hip-Hop tracks, but with a fresh, girl-group twist that makes it uniquely VVINK. It’s A Rap is a bold, exhilarating finale that leaves listeners hyped, impressed by the group’s versatility, and ready to hit replay for the entire album.

  1. VVINK VVINK

VVINK VVINK is a brief, teaser instrumental bonus track on VVINK’s upcoming album, built around punchy vocal chops.
