Beauty queen-turned-actress Ruffa Gutierrrez expressed his excitement to do more work in showbiz this year. On the latest interview of PUSH.com, the 43-year old actress is willing to do kotrabida roles if given a chance.
“I’m the type kasi who’s also a go-getter. Hindi naman ako puwede maghintay lang ng grasya. I’m a single, working mom and international schools are very expensive so I have to be a go-getter and be able to support myself. Importante sa show business ang longevity. Since I’ve been in the business since I was 13, what more can I offer people?” she said.
“As long as the role is very good. I’ve been a glamorous kontrabida in the past. Huwag lang yung mamamatay-tao, yung may relevance naman in the end ‘di ba? So kung magaganda naman yung offers why not? It doesn’t matter kung mabait ako, kontrabida ako, mistress ako. It doesn’t matter really. It’s just a role,” she answered when asked if she is open to do kontrabida roles in the future.
On the other hand, Ruffa admitted that although she misses acting, what she really wants to get back into is hosting a talk show.
“That’s what we’re working on right now. Pero alam niyo naman hindi na uso ang talk show ngayon. I miss those times when I would banter, I would love talking about my insights and hopefully there will come a time na magiging uso ulit angtalk shows. So for now puwede tayo mag-acting din and also reality show. Malakas din talaga ang reality shows ngayon,” she said.
