“FOOD” magazine is coming out with its latest Christmas gift guide dubbed the “Presents Perfect” for the sixteenth year running.
First introduced in 1995 as an annual gift guide to the most scrumptious, exquisite, and delightful gifts you can find for everyone in your life, it has grown throughout the years and has become a gift catalog that is looked forward to by readers and bakers alike.
This year’s Presents Perfect features an exciting line up of our favorite savory and dessert dishes, all below P1,000. Shot recently for the November issue, friends from the press were invited to taste the delicious selection.
Among the food offered for tasting was an avocado cake—a unique store specialty of an upcoming pastry maker. The secret recipe has been kept within her family for many generations and is truly one-of-a-kind. Other small gift items found at the Presents Perfect shoot were cookies. Baked whisper thin, the Florentine cookies were completely covered in chocolate goodness on one side. To add to the sinful feast, a Key Lime Pie was served. The dessert was made of key lime juice, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed mlk in a pie crust with a soft meringue topping.
