ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. and GMA Network Inc., two of the biggest broadcasting companies in the country may be earning much but they also incur big expenditures.
Both networks spend billions of expenses from production to advertising and marketing, but the biggest expenses come from compensations of their executives.
According to the company’s annual reports, ABS-CBN paid 329.9 million pesos in total compensation for their top executive in 2017.
165.3 million went to total bonuses and other annual compensation pay and 164.5 million pesos were paid for the salaries of their top executives. ABS-CBN listed its top 6 executives as follows; Carlo Katigbak (CEO and President), Aldrin M. Cerrado, Laurenti M. Dyogi, Ma. Lourdes N. Santos, Rolando P. Valdueza and Ma. Socorro V. Vidanes.
Meanwhile, GMA Network reported a total 2017 compensation of 275.6 million pesos. 131.2 million went to total bonuses and other annual compensations while 144.3 million pesos were given as salaries to their top 6 executives.
GMA Network executives include Felipe Gozon (CEO and Chairman), Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Felipe S. Yalong, Marissa L. Flores, Lizelle G. Maralag, and Rizalina D. Garduque.
