The rumor about John Estrada transferring to the Kapuso Network has finally given light. Last May 2, 2018, the actor finally signed a contract with GMA-7.
John Estrada’s transfer is somehow controversial. He was a playing a big role in “The Good Son” series but died without warning. His sudden disappearance in the show was rumored to forcefully happen because he had a fight with Mylene Dizon. Days after, he was on GMA grounds.
The rumors are all leading to this moment. Now he is an official Kapuso. “I feel so welcomed. Maganda ang pag-welcome sa akin so I’m excited,” he cited.
Since he is now part of the GMA family, who are the Kapuso artists he is expecting to work with?
Marian and Dingdong
John Estrada admitted that he wants to work with the royal couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. “I’m a good friend of Dingdong and Marian. It’s dream for me to work [with them] and marami pang Kapuso talents na napapanood ko, maraming magagaling na artista dito,” he said.
Inah Estrada
Praising the Kapuso artists, he is also probably talking about his daughter, Inah Estrada, who’s been a Kapuso star for some time now.
He said that he is excited to work with his daughter but suggests setting that idea aside first since he already has an upcoming big project this year. “If I’m not mistaken, this is the biggest project of GMA this year. Pagpasensyahan niyo na ko, ‘yung revelation nito dapat perfect timing kasi malaking-malaking proyekto. I just wanna say na it’s worth the wait,” he shared.
Willie Revillame
Additionally, it is also expected that John would like to have a reunion show with his long-time buddy, Willie Revillame. In fact, he is one of the judges of Wowowin’s “Wil to Win” segment. “Hindi naman ako makaka-hindi kay Willie,” he said.
When asked why he decided to transfer network, he explained, “It’s a fact naman na men love challenges. As you mature, siyempre madami kang gustong patunayan sa sarili mo. At sa GMA, medyo maganda talaga, interesting ‘yung content. At of course, bagay sa’kin ‘yung versatility na ino-offer nila.”
