  • Jennylyn Mercado insists that production has yet to confirm The Cure‘s early ax.
  • She also added that the series remains a trending topic every night.
  • Rumors of its early ax also bloomed to life as GMA Network has a six-week policy.

Jennylyn Mercado stars in GMA Network’s science fictional series, The Cure. According to Nora Calderon’s article in Philstar.com, she also denied that the series will end sooner than everyone thinks. The production has yet to confirm it and The Cure remains a trending topic every night.

In the said article, Jennylyn also expressed her gratitude towards The Cure viewers. She also thanked their support and positive feedback.

“Thankful po kami dahil sa mga natatanggap naming feedback kung ano ang mga susunod na mangyayari dahil excited na sila na gabi-gabi may mga lumalabas na infected at naghahasik na ng takot sa ibang tao.”

In an earlier report, Jennylyn  explained that The Cure has nothing in common with The Walking Dead.

“Ibang-iba naman siya sa The Walking Dead! Hindi naman zombies ang sa amin, infected, parang nagka-rabies.”

The Cure reveals the story of an experimental drug which kills cancer cells. However, a dangerous mutation and contagious Monkey Virus Disease becomes its side effect. This causes infected people to get violent like a rabid and wild dog.

Rumors of its early ax also bloomed to life as GMA Network has a six-week policy. If a series doesn’t rate well in its first six weeks, the network will give another week. If the series still has yet to rate high, the network would dispatch the said series.

Super Ma’am and Sherlock Jr. became GMA Network’s ammunition in the past against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Although Super Ma’am had a lengthy run, it still ended quicker than the Kapamilya crime series.
