Empress Schuck, Kristel Fulgar, and Andrea Brillantes recently expressed their excitement in playing the three lead roles in tourism film, A Spark in Samar. The movie reveals the story of three complete strangers making peace with their common past in Samar.
During the story conference in an interview with PUSH.com, Empress also revealed that she will play thew role of Joey, a social entrepreneur, and designer. She had gone to mall shows before however, she never recalled ever traveling around Samar.
“Bata pa ako nag-mo-mall show na ako eh so baka nakapunta na ako pero hindi ko matandaan. Pero mag-la-lock in kami dun ng six days so excited ako at saka siyempre makakapag-bonding kaming lahat.”
Starring in her first lead role in a film, Kristel also shared that she had been to Samar before. She expressed how much she couldn’t wait to go back there. Kristel will play Mikee, a food and travel blogger.
“Nung nagpunta kami ng Leyte pumunta rin kami Samar kasi nag-roadtrip kami. Nag-enjoy naman ako. Saglit lang ako nag-stay dun pero ngayon talaga ma-e-explore ko yung Samar. Happy ako kasi nag-work na kami ni ate Empress sa MMK dati. Pero kaming tatlo halos lagi kaming nagkikita pag mga ASAP. First time din namin makatrabaho si direk Bona.”
Being the youngest cast member, Andrea also expressed her excitement in starting to shoot the movie in the province soon.
“Parang hindi pa ako nakakapunta dun and wala pa ako masyado alam tungkol sa Samar so mas excited ako na ngayon mas madami akong malalaman and ma-i-explore ko siya. Excited ako kasi mahilig ako mag-travel so excited din ako makapunta dun and makita yung Samar.”
Then, Andrea is very happy for starring in the movie with actresses that she had already been familiar with.
“Tagal na din kaming magkakilala ni ate Kristel at saka ni ate Empress so feeling ko hindi naman kami masyadong mahihirapan sa bonding, ganun. Mabait sila.”
