Ruru Madrid was mistakenly called by fans as Dingdong Dantes. According to the actor, when he hopped out from the van, a spectator in Cebu shouted, “Dingdong Dantes!”
The young actor is flattered no end by the constant comparison to the Kapuso Primetime King. Ruru’s fans had come to notice their idol’s resemblance to the more seasoned Dingdong Dantes.
“Every time na nagpo-post ako sa Instagram, laging sinasabi na kahawig ko si Kuya Dong,” said Ruru.
Beyond the physical likeness, some people are convinced that Ruru Madrid has the potential to be the next Dingdong Dantes also because of the former’s versatility as an actor and much improved hosting skills.
