Turns out Marco Gumabao is the type of guy who will do anything for love.
The actor admits that the reason why he rested from showbiz two years ago is that he was focused on his ex-girlfriend Tippy Dos Santos.
He shared, “Basta yung time na yon, yung buong buhay ko kay Tippy.
“So kumbaga, kaya nawala rin ako sa showbiz for like two years. Nag-aral din naman ako and yon nga, at the same time, nag-focus ako sa kanya.
“Bihira akong ma-in love, eh, pero pag na-in love ako, todo, grabe,” shared Marco.
If that’s the case, it would be critical for Marco to fall in love today while his showbiz career is booming.
“Well, yon nga yung mahirap. Kaya ako, ngayon ang ginagawa ko, as much as possible, hindi ko muna pinopokus yung sarili ko sa mga babae.”
But, what if the girls initiate especially now that he is one of the hottest stars in the industry? Can he really ignore them?
“Ako ang lalayo! Hindi, joke lang.”
He continued sharing the advice he got from his dad, “Siyempre, ako naman… tsaka wala pa naman akong nahahanap talaga, eh. At saka ang sabi rin sa akin ng daddy ko na, ‘Magseryoso ka muna sa work and wag ka munang mag-girlfriend.’ Sabi niya, magpahabol ka muna.
“Sabi ko, ‘Oo, sige Pa, susundin ko yung advice mo.’”
How will he turn down girls?
“Ayoko rin namang maging rude sa mga tao. Pag napapansin ko na… may times kasi na may mga touchy, kasi mahilig akong lumabas, eh, mahilig akong mag-club pero di ako… para lang mag-enjoy, para makasama mga kaibigan.
“Meron naman talaga na ano, kumakausap sa iyo, pero hindi ko na iniisipan ng malisya. Basta ako, usap tayo, ganyan, friends lang.
“Basta sa akin, ano lang ako, true love waits. Para sa akin, ang love hindi minamadali, di ba?”
Marco is just thankful for the attention that he’s getting. In fact, he previously mentioned that having a great body attracts projects and popularity.
“Thankful ako na yon ang nagiging reaksyon ng mga tao sa akin, at the same time, alam ko naman yung hangganan ko rin, di ba? Yung respeto ko for myself.
“Okey lang naman sa akin na ano, actually, pag nagpo-post ako ng picture naka-topless maraming nagko-comment na nakakatawa. Ako naman, I just use it as ano… I look at it as a good thing also.
“Di ko napi-feel na nababastos ako, because pinost ko, eh. Ie-expect ko na magkakaroon ng comments na ganun, so ako naman, happy naman ako na naa-appreciate nila.”
Marco Gumabao has an upcoming movie titled “Para Sa Brokenhearted” that will be in cinemas starting October 3.
