Pamilya Roces features three families with one patriarch. The Roces family are the owners of the biggest jewelry business in the country. The lives of five different sisters get intertwined as they reunite after their father, Rodolfo Roces (Roi Vinzon) suffers a heart attack.
The Legal Family.
Gloria Diaz plays Natalia Austria-Roces, Rodolfo’s legal wife. They have two daughters: Crystal Roces-Javellana and Jade Roces. Carla Abellana portrays Crystal, an independent woman who is currently being groomed to be the next CEO of their company. Gabbi Garcia, on the other hand, plays Jade, a social media influencer whose personality often clashes with her father.
The Other Family.
Elizabeth Oropesa is Violet Bolocboc, a kontesera who eventually became a back-up dancer. She uses her own daughter, Amber Bolocboc, played by Sophie Albert to get a larger share of Rodolfo’s wealth. Amber is a result of a one-night stand and becomes the main antagonist in Crystal’s life. She will try to get Crystal’s CEO position and husband, Hugo Javellana, played by Rocco Nacino.
The Third Family.
Ana Roces plays Lily Renacia, Rodolfo’s one true love. They had two daughters: Pearl Renacia and Amethyst Roces. Shaira Diaz plays Amethyst, the youngest and very attached to Rodolfo. Jasmine Curtis-Smith‘s character Pearl, on the other hand, is technically not a Roces but she continues to stand up for what is right, especially for her half-sister, Amethyst.
Ratings.
Pamilya Roces aired on October 8, Monday. Both NUTAM and Kantar Media recorded the ratings of the show’s pilot episode.
According to NUTAM, Pamilya Roces lost to its Kapamilya rival, Halik, with 6.4% while the latter had 7.9%.
Kantar Media recorded the Pamilya Roces only having the half of its rival’s ratings. Pamilya Roces had 10.9% while Halik had 20.0%.
Pamilya Roces replaced Inday Will Always Love You which ended on October 5, Friday.
