The public has seen a better and stronger Andrea Torres after experiencing intense bashing from Netizens during the airing of GMA Network’s superhero series, Victor Magtanggol.
In the said series, she played the role of Sif, a blonde goddess.
When asked about how she handled online bashing, the Kapuso star shared that she believed that God had prepared her already on such situations even before the project has started airing.
“Even pa nga po bago dumating, e. Feeling ko, parang ang galing din ni Lord, inihanda niya ako na ito yung next project ko. Parang ano na, parang naayos ko na rin yung thinking ko kung paano ko iha-handle yung bashing.”

The actress also revealed that it’s more painful when her family gets involved in the online bashing.
“Hindi naman sa wala lang, siyempre may mga times na naaapektuhan pa rin ako. Pero parang may mindset ka na kasi, e, na kung paano makipag-deal sa [bashers].”
According to Torres, it wasn’t easy for her to face it alone but being a Christian helped her handle it and have a better mindset about it.

“Na-guide din naman ako nang maayos ng GMA Artist Center saka ng family ko.
“Saka yun nga, kasi nga nagbi-Victory ako ngayon, so hindi na rin ganun kadaling maano yung kalooban ko, maapektuhan yung kalooban ko.”
The former star of the now-defunct series is an active church member of Victory Christian Fellowship.
