Empress Schuck gave birth to her daughter Athalia at the age of 23. The father of her daughter is his boyfriend Vino Guingona.
Empress had no regrets of becoming a mother at a young age. In fact, she is overwhelmed with joy.
She said, “May ganitong happiness pala. Sobrang happy sa pagdating ni Athalia sa buhay ko.”
The actress admitted that she is already contented with her life and her daughter. Thus, she decided to let go of her showbiz career, but her manager, Becky Aguila, won’t let her.
Her manager persuaded her not to rush her decisions and asked her to go acting one last time, and she did.
She said, “Pinag-audition niya ako for the role of Felicidad Aguinaldo sa pelikulang ‘Goyo’ na pinagbidahan ni Paolo Avelino at nakuha ko naman.”
That’s when she realized that she needed to work and face the reality that she needed the income to provide for her daughter.
She also rediscovered her love of acting and opted to focus on reviving her career.
As for having another baby and getting married, Empress said she has no plans yet.
“Hindi muna siguro kasi after niyang ipanganak parang gusto kong balikan ‘yung hindi ko natapos like ‘yung sa career ko. If I will have another baby, mai-stop na naman siya.
“Aware naman po kami sa mistakes namin before at alam amin kung ano ‘yung dapat muna naming gawin at balikan.
“Ayaw muna kasi naming magpadala sa pressure. Kumbaga, we want to make it right this time kasi ang marriage importanteng bagay na hindi minamadali.
“Importante kasi na napaplano lahat para maging maayos. ‘Yun ang hindi namin nagawa.
“So, since natuto na kami sa naging kamalian namin, we want to make it right this time, with the marriage and the next baby so sana kapag nagka-next baby na, kasal na kami, ganu’n.”
Empress Schuck ended that when they finally decide to tie the knot and make their own family, she wants to have three children.
