Award-winning actor Robin Padilla have been always on the hot seat when it comes to politics. Although he has been very vocal that he doesn’t have any plan of joining, Binoe has always been there supporting politicians who he has a strong belief in fighting same as what his principles are.

After spending two (2) years in prison for illegal possession of firearms and was pardoned and released on 1998, Robin Padilla spent mostly humanitarian mission, especially when it comes to Muslim (where he had himself converted). Part of his advocacy was the anti-malaria in 2004. He even built a pre-school for Muslim children located in Quezon City.

And as early as now, the “Bad Boy” of Philippine Cinema conjecture that Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte could be a good President of the Philippines. Should he run this 2016, Padilla affirms his support for this public servant who is pro-federalism. According to Padilla, Duterte’s views rest on the concept of power sharing between national and provincial government.

Padilla told the press.

He especially mentioned the Aetas of Pampanga as an example.

The 45-year old actor was even asked for his opinion regarding the “word war” between another Philippine actor Richard Gomez and Bangsamoro National movement for Peace and Development chair Agakhan Sharief. “Kanya-kanya tayo siyempre ng opinyon. Respetuhin natin, nasa demokratiko tayong bansa.
