Iconic broadcast journalist Tina Monzon-Palma shares three lessons she learned as the former head of Bantay Bata 163 in the first “Think Possible” lightbulb session of ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel.

Tina, one of the most celebrated news anchors in the Philippines, worked with the late Gina Lopez to establish Bantay Bata 163, Asia’s first ever rescue hotline for victims of child abuse.

In the “Think Possible” session, Tina will open up about her journey in public service, and the wisdom she gained from working with families and organizations to save abused children, and help them heal and be re-integrated into society.

Serving as live audience in Tina’s talk are individuals who have started their own public service initiatives, advocates, volunteers, and workers in civic or non-government groups.

“Think Possible” is a 30-minute talk featuring change-makers and innovators who have ideas, or are doing something, to make the world better. It is available on the ANC YouTube channel, while shorter versions of the talks will be aired on ANC’s morning news program “Early Edition.”

It was first launched in 2018 as segment in “Early Edition” with a narrative format, as a form of solutions journalism.

ANC chief operating officer Nadia Trinidad, who previously headed the cable channel’s news production, said they wanted to go beyond just telling the story by actually providing a platform for change-makers to come together.

“We will continue to champion stories of transformative leadership and positive change. But this time we want to do more by creating a community of people with brilliant ideas and a can-do mindset in making a difference in the world. Through ‘Think Possible,’ they can connect with each other, learn from one another, and hopefully, work together towards one goal,” she explained.

After Tina, “Think Possible” will feature the head of ABS-CBN Film Restoration, Leo Katigbak, who has been in the forefront of preserving and restoring classic Filipino films.

With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the project will also touch on topics such as the environment, lifestyle, jobs, social issues, and arts and culture.

Watch the first “Think Possible” Lightbulb Session with Tina Monzon-Palma on the ANC YouTube channel and catch the highlights from the talk on ANC’s morning news program “Early Edition.”
