Kapamilya actor McCoy De Leon is happy with his career despite his break-up with his love team partner Elisse Joson.
In an interview during the presscon of his latest movie The Heiress, McCoy said he doesn’t see it affecting his career, adding that he is learning more from different people he gets to work with.
“Hindi naman po nagsuffer….hindi rin po ako natakot kasi parehas kame ni Janella (Salvador) mas eager ako matuto. Mas naging uhaw akong matuto kasi ibat-ibang tao na yung makakaharap ko. Iba-ibang klase yung matututunan ko sa kanila, kaya mas lumawak din yung [kung] paano ko umakting din at the same time kung paano makitungo sa ibang tao,” said McCoy.
The Hashtags member also added that it became easier for him now that he’s not into a love team because he got to experience new perspectives.
“Kasi madali eh sobrang dali, pagka love team ang tagal kasi kilala mo na sya eh. pero pagka hindi mo kilala yung naging partner mo, dun ka nagiging ahh gusto ko nang alamin kung paano sya umatake, ibig sabihin dun nagstart na gusto kong matuto,” McCoy explained.
He also shared that he has no regrets about being partnered with Elisse since he learned many things from her and that he was happy with the experience.
“Yung nagsuffer naman hindi ko naman naisip kasi parang ang negative naman at di naman ako nagisisi na sya yung naging love team ko at akin naman may natutunan din naman ako sa kanya at masaya din naman ako sa nangyari samen at sabi nga nina direk may rason si God kaya nagyari yun,” he added.
McCoy and Elisse’s love team started inside the Pinoy Big Brother house. After PBB McClisse was tagged as the next Kapamilya love team to watch because of their onscreen chemistry.
Before the fallout of their love team, the two were able to finish their first movie Sakaling Maging Tayo.
