  • Ogie Diaz questioned VP Leni Robredo’s critics.

Actor and talent manager Ogie Diaz didn’t mince words in castigating government officials who keep on criticizing Vice President Leni Robredo in her new role as anti-drug czar.

In a series of Facebook posts, Diaz slammed the critics of the Vice President and government officials who do not want to cooperate with her.

“Gusto nila me ma-accomplish agad si VP Leni in 6 mos, pero ayaw naman nilang makipag-cooperate. Sana kumuha na lang sila ng magician,” he wrote.

He also questioned why these government officials close to the President didn’t volunteer instead for her position if they seemed to know more.

“Nung umupo si VP Leni as drug czar, daming reklamo ng mga nakapaligid sa Pangulo. Andami nyo palang alam, bat di kayo ang nagprisinta?” Ogie asked.

Duterte administration allies in Congress have been going all out to criticize the Vice President in handling her new position even though she had just taken on the role for a couple of weeks.

Speaker Alan Cayetano instantly branded Robredo’s style as “All talk” because of all the  media frenzy about her new role.

“I’ve been monitoring the last three days and parang from Operation Tokhang, naging Operation All Talk,” Cayetano said.

Senator Bong Go on the other hand immediately shared apprehension that the Vice President might go lenient on the drug lords since she doesn’t want the bloody drug war.

“Gusto naming mag-succeed siya pero natatakot po ako na mas lalong dadami yung inosenteng mabibiktima nitong drogang ito, hindi sila matatakot eh, ibe-baby mo ang mga yan,” said Go.

Senator Bato dela Rosa for his part warned Robredo that war on drugs is a serious thing.

“War is not a bed of roses. Hindi naman ito puwedeng pa-cute cute lang. ‘Di naman puwedeng paboka-boka lang. Aksyon ito.

“Bakit, may war ba na walang namamatay? Hindi ka mag-wage ng war na walang mamatay. Lalaki at lalaki ang negosyo ng droga. Dadami ang apektado sa drug problem,” said Bato.

Meanwhile, in another post where Ogie attached a link of an Inquirer news article about President
Duterte’s pronouncement that he cannot trust Robredo, Ogie sarcastically quipped to wait for the Malacanang “interpreter” Salvador Panelo on what the President really meant by airing his distrust with his VP.

He also challenged Robredo’s primary critics Senators Bato dela Rosa, Bong Go, and Tito Sotto and Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano to instead look into another anomaly by former Customs chief Nick Faeldon.
