Untrue lead star Xian Lim shared how he learned the ropes on how to deal with the entertainment press over the years.
He said, “Lahat naman, we get a better understanding as we grow as artists. Siguro, over time din po. Lumalawak po yung circle ko.”
The Untrue male lead star highlighted that being present at press conferences has helped him to understand the role of the entertainment press. As an enthusiast in making films with dreams of becoming a director, having a healthy discussion with the media has opened his mind.
“Like ako, gusto kong magsulat, gusto kong magdirek. Gusto kong makagawa ng mga pelikulang co-producer ko. It’s really.. ang laking tulong lang po na nakakausap ko kayo. Like Mama Leo (Bukas), galit nag alit sa akin dati si Mama Leo, ngayon okay na kami, love na niya ako. So I think, over time, kasi at first, nakakakaba and even now nakakakaba talagang kaharap ang press lalo na’t in a year, ilang beses lang ba tayo magkita? So, yung pakikisama sa tao, mas naggu-grow.”
It can be recalled that Xian was not merely open about dealing with the entertainment press before, but there were even accusations of him being unprofessional.

Xian said: “You can insult me, mock me all you want, take everything away from me and strip me down to nothing, but don’t you dare question my professionality, passion and the amount of work I am willing to put in my craft in all the projects I make. I may not be the best, but I will work my ass off to give you results.”
He was misunderstood when he didn’t know yet how to express himself and deal with the entertainment press, but he has the heart of a sincere actor willing to improve his craft.
“As an artist, I am willing to do whatever it takes to deliver even if it kills me. I will move mountains, give my own sweat and blood, take the leap of faith for my staff and all the people around me who share the same vision as I do.”
