As live chat session is becoming a trend these days amid the quarantine. More and more celebrities are engaging themselves in the virtual ‘kamustahan’ as they travel back to their yesteryears with their co-stars.
On Friday, May 1, seasoned actresses Jaclyn Jose, Lorna Tolentino, Gina Alajar, Sandy Andolong, and Elizabeth Oropesa joined together in the first live session of Actors’ Cue.which was aired in the Facebook page of Extend the Love.
#ExtendTheLove is a fund-raising initiative founded by director Adolf Alix to help production staff and film workers affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
In the 2-hour video, the veteran actresses talked about their work and their individual experiences in showbiz, as well as how they cope with the pandemic.
Aside from this, the actresses shared their experiences working with their co-stars which led award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose to drop a bomb about an actor whom she lectured for his disturbing working habit.
“Ako talaga, bilang laki ako kay Tita Chato [Charito Solis], di ba?
“Sa kanya ko natutunan yung, ‘You have to discipline the next generation. If not, walang mangyayari sa industriyang ito.’
“Meron na akong nasabihan na aktor ngayon na gano’n, e,” she shared with her peers.
According to the 56-year-old actress, the said actor was drunk when he went to their taping and threw up repeatedly.
She said: “Nagte-take na kami, in the middle of the take, sumuka. Sumusuka.
“Tapos, tapos… we have to stop. Ibig kong sabihin, tapos, kailangang… bigyan ng kape, punasan.”
According to the critically-acclaimed actress, she’s not the kind of person who lectures her co-actors, but the situation made her do what she did.
“Sabi ko, ‘Kaya walang nangyayari sa industriyang ito, dahil sa mga artistang kagaya mo!’”
“Ang sa akin… lalo tayong magtatagal dito, imbes na maaga tayong makauwi nang sabay-sabay, makasama natin ang pamilya natin…”
Mary Jane Santa Ana Guck, more popularly known as Jaclyn Jose is a multi-awarded actress who won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her film Ma’ Rosa in 2016. She was the first Southeast Asian who received such an award. Moreover, she is known for her memorable roles in the films Private Show, Itanong Mo sa Buwan, White Slavery, and Santa Juana.
