Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa has again made a buzz on social media.

On Tuesday, May 26, netizens blasted the Senator for his insensitive remark after the Senate session.

With the Senate’s early adjournment of their hybrid session on Tuesday, Dela Rosa made an insensitive remark in jest which earned the ire of netizens.

Before the virtual session ended, Dela Rosa with a sigh of relief was heard saying, “Sarap ng buhay! Ganito na lang tayo palagi ha!”

Netizens can’t help but share their disgust over Bato’s latest controversial remark.

Most of the netizens pointed out how other people are struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic while others have already lost their jobs and thousands have already died. Dela Rosa rejoicing how good his life is was very insensitive given the average Filipino’s struggles.

'Ang sarap ng buhay. Ganito na lang tayo palagi ha.'

– Bato Dela Rosa (after a senate session)

It's so easy to say na 'sana ganito nalang tayo palagi' when you don't have to worry about losing your job & not being able to feed your family ano?

This man reeks of privilege.

Meanwhile, Sen. Bato explained his remark after the virtual session.

“Kaya nasabi kong ang sarap nang buhay kasi mas mabilis ang talakayan ng bills kapag naka-Webex kami at mas maaga matapos ang session. Sa tingin ko mas efficient ang session via Webex basta maganda lang ang wifi signal ng attendees,” he said.
