News anchor Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja finally cleared allegations that the two of them are Diehard Duterte supporters.
In an interview with Noel Ferrer for Pep.ph, Ferrer shared on his Instagram account the Anthony Taberna’s side on this matter.
According to Anthony, the accusation that he and Baja are DDS is unfair since they do criticize the government.
“Hindi kami DDS ni Gerry, unfair namang akusasyon yun!”
“We recognize yung mga nagagawa nila, pero kung napapanood lang ng mga tao kung paano namin upakan ang gobyernong ito sa kanilang kapalpakan, hindi nila iisipin iyan.”

When asked what he felt when ABS-CBN’s franchise was denied, Anthony Taberna revealed that he felt pain for his home network, “Gaya ho ng iba, gumuho din ang mundo natin. Bukod sa katotohanan, na ang ABS-CBN ay isang malaking vehikulo sa entertainment, news at iba. Sa personal ko, ‘bread and butter’ ko yun eh.”
Anthony also revealed that he and Gerry was offered to be the mainstays of an upcoming morning show on TV5, and that they will probably be there for TV.
“Nanggaling na ako sa Eagle Broadcasting bago ako nag-ABS, mukhang ito namang TV5 ang pursigido na matuloy na, dahil muntik lang kami dati.”
After the rejected franchise of ABS-CBN, DZMM’s Dos Por Dos would be impossible to broadcast since its programs can now only be viewed through the Teleradyo channel on cable and online.
But ABS-CBN supporters do not see Taberna and Baja leaving as a loss, Recently, Taberna and Baja were once considered as the most hated Kapamilya TV hosts.
