Singer-songwriter and rising TikTok star JMKO is set to premiere his newest single “Bakit Pa Ba” through a virtual mini-concert dubbed #JMKOSessions happening exclusively on TikTok on October 9 (Friday).
The Star Music artist will perform his fresh take on the OPM hit “Bakit Pa Ba” originally released by the country’s R&B royalty Jay R in 2003. The new rendition, arranged by JMKO himself, adds a sentimental ballad twist to the R&B classic.
The song takes listeners to an emotional journey of regret and aspiration for second chances and serves as a poignant plea for forgiveness from a loved one.
JMKO, who just celebrated his one million TikTok following last August, currently has 1.6 million followers on the popular video-sharing app. He regularly posts Popcorn Duets, Duet with Me, and mashup videos, which successfully capture the attention and participation of TikTok users from different parts of the world.
As a treat for his followers, “Bakit Pa Ba” will be performed and heard first on TikTok before its release on digital music platforms.
He previously released the single “Aahon,” the official soundtrack of the drama “The Story of Yanxi Palace” for its Philippine airing.
