With the ongoing tensions among political rivals and parties it is quite impossible not to drag the name of the President’s youngest sister Kris Aquino into the playing field of politics.
It was publicly known that Kris Aquino had a romantic rendezvous with Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista. Though their romance might be short lived but people are still closely monitoring things between these two showbiz and political personalities.
Just recently on Kris Aquino’s Instagram account personal sentiments with emotional outburst were deeply expressed by the queen of all media herself. From what she posted it is clear that Kris Aquino did not ask Herbert Bautista to seek reelection rather than seek senatorial position in the upcoming 2016 elections.
Kris Aquino admittedly is trying very hard to stay away from any issues involving politics since she does not want to look like a meddling sister. She was quick in denying so called reports that she has something to do with Herbert Bautista’s withdrawal from Senatorial race this 2016.
The Liberal Party or LP is eyeing on Herbert Bautista as one of their candidates for 2016 senatorial race. The Quezon City mayor on the other hand stated on an ABS-CBN news channel interview that he is content in continuing his public service as mayor and will go forward in seeking a third term after asking friends, family and fellow government officials for their advises.
Herbert Bautista also said “She (Aquino) wants me to run for reelection. She told me that if I decide to run for the Senate, then she will also help me.”
On the other side of the story, Kris Aquino said that “Mayor Bautista last December asked to be included in the Liberal Party Senate slate. To directly quote Pnoy (President Benigno Aquino III), ‘He isn’t turning down the offer. He asked to be included in the slate.’ Obviously he had a change of heart,”
Kris Aquino confessed that her involvement with Herbert Bautista has caused rifts in her relations with her family, the political team which included her brother Noynoy Aquino.
“This is a very painful lesson for me, and I don’t ask for pity—I am just explaining because a man I was so briefly involved with caused conflict by his statement between my brother, my brother’s team, and me,” added statement by Kris Aquino.
Liberal Party was set to proclaim their senate slate last Friday but due to the dropping out of MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino from the Liberal Party ticket and to further give more time for Herbert Bautista to reflect on his senatorial candidacy the announcement will take place on Monday, October 12 instead.
In the meantime, it could be perceived that Kris Aquino did not ask Herbert Bautista to seek reelection through her IG posts.
A reply or comment from a fan telling Kris Aquino that they already warned her about the possibility of Herbert Bautista taking advantage of her.
She expressed deep feelings and direct sentiments over the recent statement issued by her former love interest with bouts of frustrations and sadness. Kris Aquino once again showed her vulnerable side and genuine persona in spite of her status quo which people are truly appreciating.
