After the shocking announcement that Angel Locsin will no longer do the “Darna” movie project due to health reasons, a group of Netizens create a movement to push Liza Soberano to be the next “Darna.”
Yesterday, an official press statement is released by ABSCBN stating that Angel Locsin need to give up her project as “Darna” with Star Cinema after she suffered a disc bulge in her spine while training for the movie.
At present, Angel is undergoing therapy and also considering having a medical operation abroad.
Early this year, Netizens and followers of Liza Soberano talk how they wanted the young actress to do the TV series of Mar’s Ravelo’s Darna. Now that Angel Locsin will no longer be the “Darna” in Star Cinema project, with Liza’s good acting skills, fresh face, good figure and height, many thinks that she is the most deserving to take the role.
From the previous interview, Liza Soberano said that she is happy how people wanted her to be the next iconic Filipino Superhero and she is willing to take the role if the management will give it to her.
“Ayoko naman ang tingin ng tao iisa lang ang kaya kong gawin and siyempre if the management gives me another project na bagong partner, bagong genre why not?” she said.
Right now Liza is busy promoting her new movie “Everyday I Love You” that is perceived to be the biggest romantic drama of the year with onscreen partner Enrique Gil and actor Gerald Anderson. It is set to open in cinemas nationwide tomorrow.
