Pinoy Big Brother alumnus Edward Barber becomes the next Kapamilya host to look out for with his lineup of future hosting projects.
According to ABS-CBN News, Barber will host ABS-CBN’s new music show, Fresh Take on MYX and TFC in June.
Does this mean Barber will now follow the career path of fellow PBB alumnus Robi Domingo who excelled in hosting as well?
When it comes to hosting, Barber admitted, “Dito talaga sa hosting, nag-e-enjoy ako. Na-stress ng konti minsan pero nag-e-enjoy ako.”
Barber then expressed how he felt the pressure getting compared with Domingo and Luis Manzano.
“I’m flattered. Flattered po talaga ako, pero medyo malaking burden po yun. Those are big shoes to fill. And, personally, iba din yung style ko than Robi and sir Luis.”
He also noted his personal style in hosting by saying, “I’m not the same comedian that they are, but I think I bring a different style to it. So medyo iba yung atake ko.”
Barber also added that he would seek guidance from Domingo in hosting.
“So, I’d love to grow. I’ll need the guidance of some amazing people, including Kuya Robi himself, in order to get there.”
Earlier, Barber already had his taste of hosting via MYX’s Kumu show, Kwentong Barber, wherein he had guests like Darren Espanto.
He also regularly hosts ABS-CBN’s Sunday Noontime Show, ASAP Natin ‘To.
