Artist-Vlogger Christine Samson is planning to sue international vlogger Agon Hare’s Project Nightfall due to the inappropriate and unauthorized use of her photo.
The video, which is now unavailable on Project Nightfall’s Facebook page, was tackling the issue of how content creators of OnlyFans, a service commonly linked with sex workers, were being paid by the company.
OnlyFans is a content-sharing platform that allows content creators to upload anything—even porn—and can be viewed through a payable subscription.
Samson, on a Facebook live stream last night, May 25, aired her surprise as to how the international vlogger used a photo of hers without permission, claiming that she has an OnlyFans account.
“Sobrang shocked ako nung nakita ko. Akala ko pa naman edited kasi minsan may ganun. Sobrang confident ako kasi alam kong wala akong ganun. So hinahayaan ko lang. Tapos ngayon, andaming nagmemessage sakin sa IG ko, so parang hindi na edited to. So nagpunta kami sa Project Nightfall at legit nga, ginamit nila ang photo ko na hindi naman totoo kasi about sya sa OnlyFans,” said Samson in her live stream.
“Tapos 1:09 na part, andun ang photo ko. And sobrang shook ako kasi never ako nagkaron ng ganun at never akong gagawa,” she added.
The 21-year old artist-vlogger was also concerned about the fact that a site, dubbed as “the paywall of porn”, was associated with her, a Filipina.
“Ang problem ko lang is bakit andun yung photo ko? Tapos pag dito pa sa Philippines, once na may ganun, yung mga tao magme-mention without doing research kung totoo ba yun o hindi,” she said.
However, no matter how controversial the site is, Samson is not judging content creators who were into OnlyFans by saying, “Pero wala naman akong masamang judgment sa gumagawa ng ganun.”
Still, she is bothered by the fact that her reputation is being damaged because of a false claim coming from a vlogger with hundreds of thousands of followers. That is why she is planning to raise the issue to the proper authority and file a case.
“Alam ko sa sarili ko na iningatan ako ng family ko. Tapos makikita ko yung photo ko, biglang may ganun. So hindi ako papayag, iaddress natin ‘to,” said the artist-vlogger.
“And after this live magpopost ako regarding that kasi alam ko pwede magsampa ng case,” she added.
Christine Samson is an internet personality who amassed an avid following on all of her social media accounts. She also had a stint in ABS-CBN’s noontime show, “It’s Showtime” as “Genie-Nga” in its segment, “PiLing Lucky”.
Other than that, Samson is a commercial model and an event emcee. She is also a streamer under Alodia Gosengfiao’s esports agency, Tier One Entertainment.
