From its successful bikini transformation episode, First Yaya did it again, but this time a notch higher.
On Thursday, May 27, the romantic-comedy series featured another bikini episode. Compared to the first one, which was accidental, the recent episode featured a bikini showdown between Yaya Melody (Sanya Lopez) and Lorraine (Maxine Medina).
And just like the first one, the episode was also a winner in ratings.
GMA Drama on Twitter shared the ratings the episode got on May 27 – ‘First Yaya’ received 20.3%.

First Yaya’s previous bikini episode was a success as it earned the series its highest rating.
Aired on April 22, the Kapuso rom-com teleserye recorded its highest rating ever after scoring 24.2% based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM data.

Aside from rating victory, the same episode also attracted millions of online viewers quickly getting more than two million views on YouTube.
Its lead stars Lopez and Gabby Concepcion then can’t help but thank all their supporters for the show’s feat.
“Yung result nitong ginawa namin sa First Yaya, talaga namang sobrang nakakatuwa kasi katulad nga po ng sabi n’yo, ngayong nag-two million views na kaagad at balita ko nag-number one trending sa YouTube. At siyempre po, maganda ‘yung ratings.
“Siguro na-miss din ng tao na magsuot ako ng ganun, ng swimwear. Kasi bilang Yaya Melody parang siyempre nasanay na sila na naka-uniform lang ako ‘pag yaya, kaya talagang ang daming nag-abang,” Lopez expressed her gratitude.
Meanwhile, Concepcion said, “Maraming salamat sa two million viewers and hopefully counting. At napakasaya naman talaga. Kahit saan kami magpunta ay ‘yan ang naririnig namin.”
