On November 11, Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia surprised presidential candidate and current Vice President Leni Robredo with a vinyl album of his band.
On Robredo’s Twitter account, she thanked Buendia for the surprise and the gift. She then noted that that members of her staff are fans of Eraserheads.

In August 2021, Buendia responded to netizens asking about the reunion concert of the iconic Filipino band. Among his responses were “Pag nag reunion 4 of spades,” “Jesus should come back,” and “Pag tumakbo si Leni.”

The original members of Eraserheads were Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan. The popularized songs such as “Huling El Bimbo,” “With a Smile,” and “Ligaya.” They disbanded in 2002 following Buendia’s departure from the band.
