The banter between the young artist and the seasoned actress earned praises.
After that, showrunners released a screenplay comparison video of Maris Racal and Angelica Panganiban’s scene in the series.
Panganiban has been in the showbiz industry since 1992. Her first TV appearance was at the age of six. Throughout her career, she received multiple nominations (Best Actress nominations from the Film Academy of the Philippines, FAMAS, ENPRESS Golden Screen) and awards (Best Actress at the 2014 Cinema One Originals Film Festival and the 13th Gawad Tanglaw Awards). Without a shadow of a doubt, she is already a force to be reckoned with in confrontation scenes.
Now comes Racal, who only began her career in 2015 after her stint via Pinoy Big Brother (PBB). Although she received multiple recognitions as a breakout artist and a scene-stealer (2nd Star Cinema Awards, 4th Star Star Awards, RAWR Awards 2017), she’s still relatively young in her career.
So to see her go toe-to-toe with Panganiban in their confrontation scene packed with explosive energy and blindingly optimistic personality, it’s no surprise that netizens took notice of it and started voicing their opinions on social media.
