On January 25, netizens noticed that Kapuso stars and celebrity couple Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
It caused some to believe that the couple is going through a rough patch in their marriage only three months after tying the knot. Some even implied that they may have already split up.
Rodriguez even shared a cryptic post with an all-black video with the word ‘.float’ and audio from Faye, a character from the now-defunct Netflix series Cowboy Bebop.
“And now you’re leaving just like that. Why do you have to go? Why are you leaving? What are you gonna do?! Just throw away your life like it was nothing?!”
Rumors also started circulating on social media that a third party was the cause behind the alleged split.
Some pointed their fingers at Kapuso artist Kelley Day.
Day went on social media to address the issue, noting that she has no knowledge or involvement in the rumored split up of Rodriguez and Abellana.
Rodriguez and Abellana tied the knot in Tagaytay, on October 23, 2021, after seven years of being in a relationship.
He posted a video showing a crucifix on January 15 with a Christian worship song, You Hold It All Together, in the background.
Abellana uploaded a YouTube vlog on January 5 that showed their sweetness while traveling to Ortigas for their annual Christmas dinner with friends.
To date, the couple has yet to address the unfollowing incident. However, the couple has seemingly patched things up since they are both following each other on Instagram again.
