Viva’s box office queen and best newcomer of the year Angeli Khang on Friday, May 13, wants to become a serious actress in the future.
In her first-ever physical press conference, Khang, 20, was hoping to stop being a sexy actress after 10 movies.
“Time frame, I hope na after 10 movies, mag lay low na ko since I think I’ve done my best about doing sexy movies,” wished the sexy actress.
So far, she has done five movies namely, Taya, Mahjong Nights, Eva, Silip sa Apoy, and her latest offering, Pusoy.
Silip sa Apoy earned Khang her titles Viva’s Box Office Queen and Best Newcomer of the Year.
Meanwhile, the sexy actress previously said that she wanted to be an action star but changed her mind after starring in sexy drama projects.
“My dream role noong una is an action star. Pero noong lumabas ako sa ibang role na palaban, noong bumalik ako sa pagda-drama, doon ko na-feel yung, ‘Ah! Thank you! Kailangan ko na umiyak!’ Ngayon, gusto ko naman mapunta sa drama.”
She also wants to work with Asia’s Multimedia Princess Nadine Lustre on a project.
“Nadine Lustre. She’s my very, very idol. Nakwento sa akin ni Direk Mac (Alejandre) na isa siya sa mga favorite niyang artists. Iba rin ang atake niya sa mga movies and I want to know her perspective din.”
Catch her latest movie, Pusoy on Vivamax beginning May 27. It is helmed by Philip Giordano and includes Vince Rillon, Baron Geisler, and Janelle Tee.
