Volleyball star Aby Marano, the ex-girlfriend of PBA player Robert Bolick, might still be on the “hurting side” after sharing some interesting tweets on Tuesday, May 24.
Bolick recently married his fianceé, Cassandra Yu. They tied the knot via a civil wedding ceremony in March 2022.
Prior to the PBA player’s announcement, his longtime girlfriend, now former partner, Marano, commented in January 2022, “Solid naman ng vacation niyo. Hindi ko alam may bago ka na?” leading to netizens’ speculations that Bolick had broken up with her.
On Twitter, she said, “When the time is right —iretri mo,” following a clown emoji. She added, “GGWP,” or in gaming terms, “Good Game Well Played.”
Marano might have used Bolick’s Instagram post as a reference. In the post, he wrote, “When the time is right, when the intention is clear, when the heart is ready, God will surely let you experience being loved by the person He prepared for you.”

A netizen then commented “flameshot,” referring to the mobile game “Mobile Legends” mechanic, to which Marano replied, “Thanks lods ha.”

Meanwhile, in a lengthy post on Facebook, Bolick broke his silence on the alleged cheating on Marano.
He started by saying, “Di porket tahimik at di nag sasalita akala niyo guilty hindi lalaki kasi ako tahimik lang kahit sinisiraan na ok lang kasi ganun naman talaga sa society ngayon pag lalaki? Yun parati may kasalanan yun parati may mali pero parang may hangganan rin kailangan na rin mag salita.”
The athlete then clapped back at his former girlfriend for being “pa-victim.” He even claimed that Marano had an abortion that she hid from her family.
“Una sa lahat aby wag ka masyado feeling victim alam mo naman yung rason bakit ganun alam mo ginawa mo kumalat pa nga eh pero never ko linabas kasi kailangan pag usapan yun as a couple para ayusin kasi ganun naman dapat eh dbah?
“Bakit lalabas mo pa kahit naka labas na nga di parin ako nag react Pag usapan dapat natin dalawa hindi kailangan eh labas pero ganun ka eh linalabas mo eh well para naman ma protektaan ko sarili ko tsaka asawa ko kasi masyado kana diyan tsaka sobra na rin alam mo ginawa mo buntis ka tapos nag pa lag lag ka tama ba yun?
“Sino ba naman lalaki gusto sumama sa isang babaeng ganun? Mismo pamilya mo di alam paano pa kaya teammate mo alam ba nila? lalo na pamilya ko ngayon for sure alam na nila ngayon kaya ganyan sila kasi di naman nila alam ngyayare.
“Kasi lalaki ako eh ganun kami tinatago sa sarili feeling malakas pero na tatamaan na sa loob dapat pag usapan lang di na kailangan eh labas may pride kami nakakahiya yung ganun kasi problema natin yun di sa tao at tsaka bata yun walang kinalaman yun. Ok?”
He was also glad that he broke their relationship and met his now-wife.
Apart from Marano and the PBA player’s feud, the latter’s mother, Zeny, does not approve of Yu as her daughter-in-law.
“He get married without telling his parents. What a shame. I don’t like this girl and she is not welcome in my house either in Ormor or in the US. I don’t even know what kind of a woman she is. He never introduced to us this woman,” commented his mother.
Yu’s sister, Maria Carmela, came to her side as she replied that they do not like her son as well. Despite that, they welcomed him into their home.
“And do you think we like your son? He has dragged my sister’s name into a mess that he created, and he never stood up for it. He has been a bad influence, he has convinced my sister to proceed with the wedding without prior notice to our parents.
“They hid their marriage from us, our mother had to find out about it through someone else. But you know what, despite how atrocious is you son’s behaviour, we will always be the better persons because we still welcomed your son [into] our home even if it wasn’t to our liking.”
On the other hand, Bolick admitted that it was his fault for not telling his family. He said that he and his wife would still welcome them no matter the circumstances.
“Sa aking pamilya mahal na mahal ko kayo di niyo lang talaga alam ngyayare for sure kasalanan ko kasi di ako nag sabi pero paano mo sabihin mga ganung bagay sa pamilya mo? pero kahit ganun paman mahal na mahal ko kayo at welcome kayo sa buhay namin ni cassandra at sa magiging anak namin in the future.”
