Fan posters featuring the two Kapamilya actors went viral on facebook and twitter, which prompted netizens and fans to clamor for a Filipino TV adaptation of the Korean series.
A new Filipino TV adaptation of a South Korean series may be around the corner.
That is if ABS-CBN gives in to the increasingly deafening clamor from fans, who believe Kapamilya actors Kathryn Bernardo and Joshua Garcia, are a perfect fit to play the Filipino versions of Man-wol and Chan-sung, respectively.
Hotel del Luna is a 2019 TV series aired by ABS-CBN in the same year. The series followed the titular hotel and its peculiar and mysterious staff, who are all ghosts.
Kapamilya and Koreanovela fans are delighted by fan posters made by a Twitter user named @audreyjane. His Kathryn Bernardo fan poster (captioned ‘Kathryn Bernardo is Jang Man-wol’) currently has 53,000 likes.
His Joshua Garcia poster (captioned ‘Joshua Garcia is Goo Chan-sung’), meanwhile has nearly 3,000 likes.

On facebook, a page called ‘Sunbaenim’ reposted @audreyjane’s creations and garnered even more reactions. As of this writing, the post already garnered more than 200,000 reactions, with most of the comments commending how fit-looking the actors were as their Korean counterparts. On Twitter, netizens shared their delighted thoughts about the possibility of getting a Filipino adaptation of the series.

However, as this Hotel del Luna Filipino TV adaptation remains an aspiration, fans may have to wait for a while before it becomes a reality.
For KathNiel fans–they can still see Kathryn slay romcom roles via the currently-airing TV series 2 Good 2 Be True. Fans of Joshua Garcia, meanwhile, will soon see the actor star in the upcoming TV adaptation of Darna, starring Jane de Leon.
