On July 2, social media influencer Xian Gaza posted an open letter on Facebook for Ella Cruz to lecture her about the difference between history, gossip, and historical revisionism.
Gaza began his open letter by admitting that he missed the Viva artist.
“OPEN LETTER TO MS. ELLA CRUZ
“Dear Gabriela,
“First of all, I miss you. Pangalawa, I respect your opinion. As the “Pambansang Marites” ng Pilipinas, let me educate you sa pagkakaiba ng HISTORY, TSISMIS at HISTORICAL REVISIONISM.”
He then identified the time wherein he admittedly fell for Cruz as history.
“HISTORY — Si Xian Gaza ay business partner ni Ella Cruz, sila ay matalik na magkaibigan. Si Xian ay family friend ng kanyang pamilya. Si Xian ay nabaliw kay Ella, minahal niya ito ng sobra. Palagi silang magkasama from October to December 2016. Nilibre niya ito sa iba’t-ibang restaurant for 3 months at binigyan ng kung anu-anong regalo including iPhone 7 na kulay pink. Nilibre niya din ito ng tandem skydive sa Bantayan Island, Cebu.”
He classified the rumors that Gaza was Cruz’s ex-boyfriend as tsismis.
“TSISMIS — Si Xian Gaza ay ex-boyfriend ni Ella Cruz.”
He also categorized the statement of Cruz’s mother as historical revisionism.
“HISTORICAL REVISIONISM — “Si Xian Gaza ay stalker ng anak ko! Iniscam niya ang buong pamilya namin! May pa-billboard billboard pang nalalaman eh scammer naman!”
“See the difference now? with love, XIAN GAZA.”
Cruz’s statement came from her interview with The Philippine Star wherein she addressed the criticisms about her upcoming movie, Maid in Malacañang.
“History is like tsismis (gossip). It is filtered and dagdag na rin, so hindi natin alam what is the real history. Andoon na iyong idea, pero may mga bias talaga. As long as we’re here alive at may kanya-kanyang opinion, I respect everyone’s opinion.”
Aside from Gaza’s open letter, he also posted photos of him and Cruz and captioned them as history.
He then added details on what happened in 2017, wherein Cruz’s mom accused him of being a ‘stalker’ and ‘scammer.’
“PHILIPPINE HISTORY: Honestly, wala namang problema sa kanya. Sobrang bait niya pati na ang kanyang ama. Napakabait din ng kanyang mga kapatid. Yung mga ibinigay ko sa kanya at sa pamilya nila ay kusang-loob lahat out of my pagmamahal. Wala silang hiningi maski isa. Yung nanay ang masama ugali.
“Siya ang tumawag sa aking stalker at scammer noong July 5, 2017 kaya nasira ako sa buong Pilipinas. Five years later, napakaganda ng estado ko sa buhay. Yung nanay niya ay stressed na stressed pa rin sa pera matapos niya gawing source of income yung sarili niyang anak for more than a decade. Ganyan talaga kapag masama ugali ng isang tao, yung blessings ay hindi dumadaloy ng maayos.”
In 2017, Cruz’s mom, Jessica, called Gaza a ‘scammer’ who wanted to recruit her daughter into a “monkey business,” following his billboard coffee offer of Kapamilya actress Erich Gonzales.
Gaza then explained his side of the story, noting that he devised a plan to get close with Cruz.
Cruz, on the other hand, confirmed that she and Gaza were only business partners.
