The series is one of ABS-CBN longest-running daytime dramas and one of the few shows that achieved a phenomenal status, since 2010.
Now an exclusive Kapuso star, former Kapamilya leading man, Richard Yap, took to Twitter to thank his fans, who remembered his phenomenal daytime drama on ABS-CBN, Be Careful with My Heart.
The show, which became the longest-running morning drama in local television during its run, turned 10 on Sunday, July 9.
The series debuted on ABS-CBN’s pre-noontime slot on July 9, 2012. It later on, cemented its legacy as one of the most groundbreaking daytime dramas to ever grace local television, having spearheaded the local light romcom craze and lasted fore more than two years of being on air. It starred prime drama actress Jodi Sta. Maria as Maya de la Rosa, and Richard Yap as Richard Lim aka ‘Sir Chief’.
The series is widely-credited to have spearheaded both Sta. Maria and Yap to massive popularity and becoming household name. Their success in the series eventually paved the way for subsequent projects for the two.
On Twitter, Yap thanked his fans for making him trend as they celebrated the show’s 10th anniversary.
He shared a screenshot that shows the topic “MAYA AND SIR CHIEF ERA” trending on the local Twitter chart.
“Thank you everyone! We couldn’t have done it without you. Sending Love to all,” the caption to his photo tweet reads.

Following his tweet, more fans let the actor know how much they’ve missed him and the character that made him a household name.

Twitter user @jodisupremacy said she doubted first whether or not Yap’s tweet was just a prank post.

Be Careful With My Heart remains the longest-running daytime drama, at least in the last 20 years. It ended its successful run on November 28, 2014, after more than 600 episodes.
