On Tuesday, July 12, beauty queen-turned-host Rabiya Mateo was proven wrong that Kapuso weatherman Kim Atienza was a “strict” person.
“Si Kuya Kim akala ko kasi [since] nasa news and current affairs siya, akala ko masiyadong strict ang personality,” she said during Tiktoclock‘s virtual media conference. “However, sa dressing room talaga siya pa ang nagbangka-bangka ng tsismis, hahaha.”
Mateo added, “Parang kanya-kanya kami ng dala na baon.”
Both of them, along with Pokwang, share the same dressing room, which made it easier for them to talk about anything.
Meanwhile, the former beauty queen also found a new set of family in Atienza and Pokwang. Living alone in Manila, she turned to her co-hosts for guidance.
“Kaya ako, kahit despite everything, I’m very much grateful kasi I have Mamang and Kuya Kim na even off-cam, they would guide me on the things that I have to do, things that I don’t need to do. Parang andoon ang guidance ng ate at kuya mo eh. And since I’m alone here in Manila, I have nobody, parang I found a family sa kanila.”
She is more motivated than ever not to disappoint GMA Network and to be on par with her co-hosts.
“Dito po, masaya lang kami. On and off cam, nagfo-focus na lang kami sa lahat ng positive na nangyayari sa buhay namin. Kagaya po ng trabahong ito. Hindi madali ang makapasok at makuha ang spot na ito.
“Pero sa akin ibinigay kasi nakita nila ang potential in me, and yung gratitude that gives me the motivation to do my very best, to be the best host. Para makasabay kay Kuya Kim at Mamang Pokwang.”
Tiktoclock is the newest game show on GMA Network and will begin airing on July 25, every Monday to Friday, at 11:15 a.m.
