GMA Network on Saturday, July 30, celebrated its Thanksgiving Gala with a black and white motif although artists like Alice Dixson and Michael V seem to have not received the memo.
Held at Shangri-La The Fort in Taguig City, superstars like Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Dingdong Dantes, and Gabbi Garcia stood out from amongst the guests.
Dixson decided to steal the spotlight by wearing a gown that is different from the theme—a yellow one.
Netizens gave their reaction to Dixson breaking the rules.
One even said, “Sabi nya sa interview they know ng designer na black and white ang motif but they decided to go for yellow. Anobey!! Ms. Alice naman. Not following. Tsk.”
“BLACK AND WHITE KASI DAPAT HAHHAAHA,” said another.
“Bat dilaw hindi bagay.”
“Black kasi yan color blind lang kayo.”
Michael V, on the other hand, wore a brown suit, topped with a black and white scarf.
Netizens also did not shy away from giving their thoughts on him as one even wrote in Manila Bulletin’s comment section, “Old Hollywood rin naman yung kay Michael v mukhang New York mafia e wahahahaha.”
Some Kapuso artists were also said to have not followed the event’s motif.
Meanwhile, stars like Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo were absent, as well as GMA Network’s chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.
