TFC plus six channels now available at discounted rate for four-month subscription

May 31, 2013 (Dubai, UAE) – In celebration of ABS-CBN’s 60 years of television and as a way of thanking Filipinos in the Middle East for their continued support, The Filipino Channel (TFC) launches its offering for 2013 aptly dubbed Anibersaryo Diskuwento Promo ng TFC.

ABS-CBN, the premier network in the world, was launched in 1953 under the name DZAQ-TV, owned by Bolinao Electronics Corporation, later renamed as Alto Broadcasting System (ABS).  From its broadcast of a small party, the network has come a long way.  After a merger between ABS owners James Lindenberg and Judge Antonio Quirino and Chronicle Broadcasting Network (CBN) owners Eugenio Lopez, Sr. and Vice President Fernando Lopez in 1956, the leading television network, has explored all possible avenues to bring entertainment to every Filipino home since then.  TFC has become its conduit for Filipinos overseas and news and entertainment from back home. Through its anniversary campaign Kuwento Natin `To (This is Our Story), ABS-CBN pays tribute to the life and stories of each and every Filipino behind its success as the leading network.

In celebration of ABS-CBN’s anniversary, TFC will give a SAR 60 discount for a minimum four-month subscription to its satellite service.  The promo is open to all subscribers both new and renewing.

For a discounted rate, subscribers can enjoy maximum viewing pleasure via TFC’s 24-hour Filipino channels – TFC, ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), Cinema One Global (COG), BRO, DZMM 630 and Teleradyo Una Sa Balita, Una Sa Public Service and Tamabayan 101.9 Saan Ka Pa.

At TFC, viewers can enjoy widely watched and award-winning shows such as Juan dela Cruz and Ina, Kapatid, Anak and other programs which feature top and equally awarded Kapamilya stars such as Coco Martin and Kim Chiu.  TFC also broadcasts news live from the Philippines via TV Patrol and features programs tailor-made for overseas Filipinos (OFs) in the country – Balitang Middle East and Kabayan Tambayan.

More round-the-clock news is available at ABS-CBN News Channels (ANC), including the recently concluded 48-hour election coverage.  ANC also delivers in-depth commentary from the Philippines’ most respected broadcast journalists.

BRO, TFC’s channel geared towards the male market beefs up programming with the biggest sporting events such as the Fil Oil Flying V Premiere Cup.  BRO, with the tagline Ang Lakas ng Dating Mo, also brings back irreverent comedy via shows like Whattamen and Home Along Da Riles featuring former Matinee Idol Rico Yan and King of Comedy, the late Dolphy respectively.

Cinema One Global on the other hand unveils the biggest Filipino movies such as Chito Roños’ The Healing and recognized films such as John-D Lazatin’s A Mother’s Story, including independent movies like Brillante Mendoza’s Captive.  Cinema One Global also features the catch-up weekend of teleseryes currently running on TFC such as Be Careful With My Heart as well as reruns of classic hit series such as Esperanza.

Lastly, live news and commentary can both be seen and heard on DZMM 630 and DZMM Teleradyo while original Pilipino Music (OPM) plus international hits and personal dedications from all over the world can be heard on Tambayan 101.9 (Saan Ka Pa).

The Anibersaryo Diskuwento Promo is just the first of TFC’s list of offerings this summer in celebration of ABS-CBN’s 60th Anniversary of Philippine television.  In the coming weeks, kapamilyas are in for a treat with the Kapamilya Kalayaan Karavan 2013 to cap the celebration.  The promo is also a preview of TFC’s 20th anniversary offering in 2014.

The Anibersaryo Diskuwento Promo ng TFC is open for a limited period only.  Interested parties can rush or contact their nearest TFC dealer offices or visit www.facebook.com/TFCMiddleEast for more details.
