Places You’ll Regret not visiting when You’re in Bohol

Not to put pressure on you, but these must-visit spots should be on your next stops in your Bohol itinerary.

Embracing the new normal, Bohol is slowly emerging from the dreadful pandemic and is now finding its foot again in tourism. Tourist arrivals in the province have been steadily climbing, and it is not surprising why the ones we put on this list are the sites that attract the most number of visitors.

Finding the best spots in Bohol should never be a hassle, as there are too many that can quickly fill up your top six. Of course, the hard part is picking which ones should go first, especially when time and budget present constraints. But fret not, because this list will no doubt fix your problem—or help you fill-up the personal, long list, at least.

Tarsier Viewing in Corella.

No trip in the historical province of Bohol is complete without a stop in one of its tarsier-viewing sites. The Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella is a 20-minute-ride away from Tagbilaran City and offers a satisfying opportunity to quench your thirst to witness the almost magical, tiny creature.

Tarsiers are incredibly sensitive to light and sound, which is why tarsier-viewing entails an integrated nature. You have to join in its calmness and tranquility to share its feeling of peace, and that’s how exactly tarsier-viewing should go. The amazing mammalian wonder can pull off up to a five-meter leap a roughly hundred millimeters in height.

Chocolate Hills.

Trust me, anyone planning to go to Bohol has Chocolate Hills in mind. Let’s be honest: what is the point of visiting Bohol as a tourist when its undoubtedly most-visited spot is missing on your list?

The rounded grassy hills are the crowning glory of Bohol tourism. You’ve just got to be there, that is. For a more thrilling escapade, you can avail the ATV rental service to get to the must-see spot.

Loboc River.

Missing river-cruising through the enchanting Loboc river is as good as not going to Bohol. Why would you when its enthralling serene waters are all you need to connect with nature and its mesmerizing allure? A paddle tour and a satisfying firefly-viewing complete your Loboc river adventure.

Hinagdanan Cave.

A commune with other nature awaits you in Hinagdanan Cave which boasts of its mesmerizing location underneath the Earth. Getting into the cave is a pleasurable hundred-meter journey that takes you to an entirely different world. The karst landscape offers a breathtaking view of stalactite and stalagmite formations. It’s a formidable ceiling of its pool beneath that makes it both charming and enchanting.

Danao Adventure Park.

Your dream trip filled with adrenaline-driven adventures will be surely satisfied with Danao Adventure Park. Embark on a fun and thrilling escape from your worries, and allow yourself to get immersed in nature, by plunging into the exciting activities that this 60-hectare wonderland has to offer.

Bohol Island Hopping.

Like Palawan and other popular archipelagic sites in the country, Bohol offers one of the most immersive and remarkable island-hopping experiences to travelers, especially first-timers.

From taking off at the world-renowned Alona Beach to the extremely pleasing dolphin sightseeing while going through Balicasag Island, to taking that much-needed soak in the mystifying emerald waters of Virgin island, the fun truly never stops in Bohol.

Now getting to Bohol and its numerous tourist spots is made much easier with AirAsia’s Superapp. It’s a travel and lifestyle mobile app that does it all for you. Whether it’s booking flights, hotels, travel packages and activities, shopping for branded products, or just looking for the best deals in town, the AirAsia mobile app makes everything much easier!
