At the media conference for the Season Finale of Lolong with the press that included LionhearTV on September 27, Kapuso executive producer Mark Anthony Norella attributed the success of the action-adventure series to their hard work.
Norella described the show’s journey as a roller-coaster ride.
“Totoo talaga ‘yung roller coaster ride, nandoon talaga ‘yung hirap, nandoon ‘yung pagod. Pero, nare-reap na natin lahat ngayon eh. Kumbaga, ‘yung time na siyempre natural na mapapagod ka.”
He then hinted at the high possibility for the second season of Lolong.
“Ang alam lang din ng cast natin ay naghahanda. Well, totoo naman pong naghahanda ang production, ang creative team ng Lolong para sa season 2. Wala pa silang kaalam-alam sa tatakbuhin ng kwento. Hindi pa po namin binabagsak sa kanila.”
He explained that they are thoroughly preparing for their second season, especially with the visual quality of Lolong.
“With the overwhelming support po na na-experience namin from Season 1. And as much as we want na i-extend talaga, canned po talaga ang season 1 ng Lolong. And, gusto rin namin siyang pag handaan at the same time dahil mabibigat po ‘yung graphics, kung mapapansin ninyo po sa Lolong, bukod sa mga action scenes, sobrang bigat ng requirement ng Lolong. Mahirap na i-extend, canned lang po talaga siya. And, maghahanda po tayo sa bagong laban para sa season 2.”
He then thanked the support of Kapuso viewers for Lolong, vowing that they plan to surpass the first season.
“Pero with all these overwhelming support and the love na nakukuha natin sa Filipino viewers natin na given na thirteen to fourteen million TV viewers per episode, sobra ‘yung challenge. Pero alam mo naman sa public affairs, we’re always ready to take ‘yung mga challenges na ‘to and always na higitan pa kung ano ‘yung binigay natin sa Season 1 and we’re up for it.”
Kapuso action-adventure teleserye, Lolong, stars Ruru Madrid alongside Arra San Agustin, Shaira Diaz, and Paul Salas.
The GMA Network teleserye includes a stellar Kapuso cast, including Christopher de Leon, Jean Garcia, Bembol Roco, Malou de Guzman, Rochelle Pangilinan, Marco Alcaraz, Mikoy Morales, Maui Taylor, Ian De Leon, and Alma Concepcion.
