Filipino-American model, actor, host, and singer Tom Rodriguez laughed off the speculations that he is gay.
On December 1, via Ogie Diaz’s YouTube vlog, Rodriguez answered the rumors surrounding his sexuality.
Diaz, an entertainment journalist/vlogger asked Rodriguez ,”Bading ba si Tom?”
“No,” Rodriguez quickly answered.
Rodriguez said he is not affected when people call him gay, saying he knows many members of the LGBTQ+ community whom he considers the most admirable people.
The actor reiterated, “A lot of the best people… most of the best people I know happen to be of that persuasion. Happen to be gay. Best people I’ve known.”
He added, “So, kung ayun lang inaano, hindi insulto para sa akin yun. So, anyway, I don’t mind hearing it. It’s not the truth, but it doesn’t bother me.”
He concluded, it is up to the people to believe his statement or not; he does not care, it is that simple. Also, he made it clear that he was not in another relationship when he was still with Carla Abellana.
On March 11, Rey PJ Abellana shed light on the alleged separation of his daughter Carla and husband Rodriguez and mentioned that the latter had a one-night stand with someone.
