Kapamilya star Seth Fedelin admitted that he gets annoyed when people accuse him of copying fellow actor Daniel Padilla.
In a report by ABS-CBN on February 2, the 20-year-old star said that he does not know where the accusation stems from, but he still gets irked about it.
“Yung ginagaya ko daw si Kuya DJ. Minsan naiinis ako.
“Nagpagupit na nga ako eh para maiba. Baka kasi sabihin ginagaya ko na naman,” he said.
He then added that he is still thankful despite the comparisons.
“Actually hindi naman ako sa naiinis. More on ano lang, ‘Why? Bakit may ganun?’ Pero okay lang, I am thankful pa rin,” he said.
When asked about the things he is grateful for, Fedelin mentioned ABS-CBN who continues to trust him.
“Nagpapasalamat ako kasi nandito pa rin ako sa ABS kasi ang daming nangyari eh. Pero kahit paano, busy pa rin naman tayo. Hindi tayo nawawalan ng blessing. Iyon ang ipinagpapasalamat ko.”
In a previous interview with Ogie Diaz in August 2022, Fedelin mentioned that he would intentionally avoid performing songs of Padilla in his concerts to avoid getting compared to the actor.
“Ako po sa lahat ng mall shows ko iniiwasan ko talagang kumanta ng kanta ni Kuya DJ. Opo, sinasadya ko po.
“Alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ko ginagaya. Kapag nasa loob ako ng bahay at kapag nag-vlog ako eh ito ako, kapag nakausap ako ng mga tao ito ako, hindi ko ginagaya,” he said.
Fedelin currently stars in the revenge series Dirty Linen. The series aired on January 23 on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Jeepney TV, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and TFC.
