After a series of pissing contests with netizen-supporters of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ), GMA Network head writer of Maria Clara At Ibarra (MCAI), Suzette Doctolero finally admitted defeat and congratulated the Kapamilya action-drama teleserye.

On Thursday, February 23, Doctolero tweeted, “Kami naman ang talo now. Congrats BQ. Last 2 nights ng MCAI, laban!”

In a subsequent tweet, the Kapuso writer defended her remark after a netizen told her that she doesn’t need to congratulate their rival program since the Kapuso series’ impact is beyond ratings.

“Wag mo na lang e post ma’am, beyond rating ang impact ng mci. It’s unbeatable,” @carlodaymiel tweeted.

In response, Doctolero said, “Need batiin at lumalaban rin naman sila haha.”

Doctolero referred to the Wednesday, February 22 rating report, where FPJBQ scored 12.5 percent, 0.7 percent higher than MCAI‘s 11.8 percent.

Previously, MCAI won against FPJBQ, reclaiming its leaderboard position.
On Monday, February 20, MCAI registered a rating of 12.3 percent vs. FPJBQ‘s 12.0 percent.

The next day, Tuesday, February 21, the Kapuso portal-fantasy series also won against its rival FPJBQ, 12.0 percent vs. 11.6 percent.
