Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez is gearing up for a return to the Philippines after spending several years abroad.
The much-anticipated news was joyfully disclosed by columnist Cristy Fermin during her entertainment show ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ where she was joined by Rommel Chika.
Cristy revealed that Tom still has an existing contract with GMA Network, his home network.
Rommel expressed his optimism about Tom’s return, hoping that the talented actor would take on new projects in the local entertainment scene. He underscored the importance of Tom fulfilling his current commitment with GMA Network, emphasizing that abruptly terminating the contract is not an option.
“Panahon na para ‘ika nga siguro ni Tom ay gamitin niya ang panahon para siya naman ay makapagtrabaho. May kontrata pa siya eh, sa GMA 7. Kailangan niyang tapusin ‘yung kontrata na ‘yun. Hindi puwedeng basta na lang tayong tatalikod sa isang kontrata,” Cristy shared.
The outcome of Tom’s return is left to be seen, and both he and his former wife, Carla Abellana, will navigate whatever comes their way. The couple exchanged vows in October 2021 after being in a relationship for seven years.
Following a few months of marriage, speculation arose about a possible separation between the two. Observant fans noted changes in their social media interactions, and Tom was spotted without his wedding ring in vlogs. In March 2022, Tom made the decision to visit the United States in light of the developments surrounding their wedding.
